05/17/2006 ORDER-BRIEF SUPPLEMENTATION   Pursuant to rule 3-7.7 (c)(6) of the Rules Regulating the Florida Bar, the parties in the above case are directed to serve supplemental briefs, specifically addressing the suitability of the disciplinary measures recommended by the referee. The referee recommended suspension for ninety (90) days, and to pay restitution to the clients by returning legal fees which he received in the amount of $910,000.00 by payment to the plaintiffs in Civil Case No. 98-2781-CA, Division J, Eighth Judicial Circuit, & Civil Case No. 2000-CA-2704, Eighth Judicial Circuit, as well as to plaintiffs in related cases brought by former clients . . . . The briefing should address: the appropriateness and length of the recommended suspension; the concepts of restitution to clients and disgorgement of the fee into the Clients' Security Fund pursuant to rule 3-5.1(h); the appropriateness and amount of a possible disgorgement; the appropriateness of a public reprimand; and the appropriateness of probation accompanied with pro bono service. Respondent's supplemental initial brief shall be filed on or before June 1, 2006. Complainant's supplemental answer brief shall be filed on or before June 16, 2006. Respondent's supplemental reply brief shall be filed ten (10) days after service of complainant's supplemental answer brief. NO MOTIONS FOR EXTENSIONS OF TIME SHALL BE ENTERTAINED BY THIS COURT. The briefs shall not exceed thirty (30) pages. Motions to file enlarged briefs will not be entertained by the Court.
